Belated Chinese New Year!

#6 is in a Mandarin Immersion program at school. She learns and hears Mandarin for 80% the school day, 20% of the day is English. I’m amazed at all her young mind can learn! Chinese New Year was a bigger celebration this time around!

Basketball, basketball, basketball!

Our first year with a high school baller! Season is over after two months of conditioning, three months of AAU play, and two and a half months of regular school season! Taking a two month break from basketball to play school volleyball—which he isn’t as excited about as basketball!

When you’re 6’5” you can...

Grab tons of rebounds.

Learn to be unphased by triple-.teaming...

Shoot over practically everybody...

With their hands grasping at air...

Make the shots....

And hustle back to play some good defense [usually 7-10 stuffs a game!!]

Party it up!

I love me a good party. So much so that we had four in three days! Two were birthdays as my #6 and hubby celebrate their birthdays a day apart. Also through in a church gathering—which is an annual meeting we have in young women—but it was like a party because it involved decorations and dainty refreshments! And then I decided to have my belated ugly Christmas sweater par-tay disguised as a dress-like-your spouse Valentine’s party (complete with cheese fondue, chocolate fountains and a load of accompaniments!)

(Only about half the attendees dressed up)

(And my other half did not dress as me—boo!)

(No pictures of New Beginnings because those aren’t my kids).
